Ask yourself these 3 questions before the end of the year

Author: Dr. Michelle Durkin on 20 December 2016

I can't believe 2016 is pretty much over. I also can't believe that I have published approximately 50 editions of Doctor as Teacher Tuesday.

So I want to end this year by bringing you a little preview of what I am going to try to do more of next year - video!

As always please leave a comment below to let me know how you like it and if you're brave you'll hear from me once more before the year is over (you need to watch the video to find out what that means).

Thank-you for reading this year and I hope to bring you even more tips, info, and recipes in the year to come!

Well, here goes!

1. I am proud that after two years I am still ‘eating primal’ and am off sugar and grain except when I consciously make a choice not to be (except for #2 below).

2. A mistake I made was thinking that I could have certain foods in the house for others and that I would not be tempted and fall for them. I cannot have these food around!!! ie. chocolate and peanut butter.

3. The story I’m going to let go of is that the habits/traditions that I grew up with don’t allow for the best health for me and that it’s not in my best interest to compromise for family occasions. My extended family loves carbs, bread and in one family member’s words “You gotta live”. It’s not my intent to ruffle feathers but it is my intent to stay focussed and eat healthy regardless of the context. If I ‘plan’, I won’t ‘fail’.

1. I am proud I have avoided all the foods my blood test showed I was sensitive to and feel so much better. I have also kept up my walking every day.
2. I am still trying to eliminate most grains and I am down to one cereal that is non GMO so still need to work on this……
3. Leaving some family politics behind which can cause stress.

Merry Christmas to you!
