Maya: “Busy is a choice”

Author: Dr. Quinte Naturopathic Centre on 25 May 2015

Let’s face it. We don’t have to look very far these days to find an excuse that will more than justify when our actions are out of alignment with things that are important to us like eating healthy and exercising.

  • I threw a frozen pizza in the oven because it’s been such a hectic week.
  • I skipped out on going to the gym because I have too much work to do.
  • I went through the drive-thru at Tim Horton's for breakfast because I was in such a rush.

Rising above excuses

That’s why we, at the Eat Real Food Academy, get really excited whenever we see our graduates making the time and effort to live in alignment with what is important to them.

At any moment in time, this working mother-of-four (ages 2-7) could play the “I’m to busy” card and not a single person in their right mind would even bat an eyelash. But she chooses to rise above mediocrity and create her own exceptional reality – one that reflects her deepest core value of excellent health and happiness for herself and her family.

Does eating real food take planning, time, energy, patience, and self-compassion? Of course it does.

Does she say it’s worth it? You betcha!

Do you need inspiration, accountability, and ongoing support to shift your mindset from "too busy" as an excuse to "too busy" as just an option?

Don't wait another season to overcome the busy trap.
