How being a big kid is good for your lymphatics

Today’s post comes from a new series I have written to help people create health instead of fixing disease called an Apple a Day. If you want to sign up for this series please see the link at the bottom of this post.

Did you know that the lymphatic system is like your own sewage system? The body produces gallons of lymph each day from our cellular waste products.

We have 2X as much lymph as we have blood!

Cell health is dependent on 3 things: a proper nerve supply going to the cell, proper nutrients going into the cell, and cellular waste products being removed from the cell.

Many people mistake lymphatic stagnation with water retention or fat.

And unlike the heart, the lymph system doesn’t have a pump to move stuff around…it needs movement to get cellular waste and toxins out of the cells.

One of the most effective ways to get lymph moving and draining is a rebounder. It’s like a mini trampoline, so let your inner child loose for 5-10 minutes a day and reap the benefits.

Rebounders are cheap, fun, effective, and great for building muscle and bone strength at the same time. You can usually find one at sporting goods stores, department stores, or online.

Other suggestions for draining your lymph include:

  1. dry skin brushing
  2. yoga
  3. walking/jogging
  4. massage
  5. hot/cold showers

To create good health, we must first make room for it by removing waste products effectively.

TIP: keep your rebounder out in the open so it reminds you to use it.
